Colored Cake Pops
made with
Flour: 1 ½ cups
Baking powder: ½ teaspoon
Salt: ½ teaspoon
Cocoa: 3 tablespoons
Milk: 1 cup
Eggs: 2
Lemon juice: 1 tablespoons
Sugar: 1 ½ cups
Butter: ½ cup
Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
Baking soda: 1 teaspoon
White vinegar: 1 teaspoon
For the cake pops
M&M’s® Peanut Chocolate Candies: 200 g
Cream cheese: 200 g
Cocoa: 2 tablespoons
For frosting
Dark chocolate: 100 g
M&M’s® Chocolate candies: 5 bags
Colored chocolate vermicelli: ½ cup

  1. To prepare the cake: pour the lemon juice in the milk and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  3. Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt over a bowl.
  4. In another bowl, beat sugar with butter then add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  5. Put 1/3 of the flour mixture over the egg mixture and blend, then add half the amount of milk and blend again. Repeat until all the mixture is used up.
  6. In a small bowl, melt the baking soda in the vinegar and quickly add it to the cake mixture.
  7. Pour the mixture into a baking tray or mold and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until set. Leave it aside to cool completely.
  8. To prepare the Cake Pops: put the cake in a food processor, and mix until powdered, then put it aside in a bowl.
  9. Put the M&M’s® Peanut Chocolate Candies in the food processor and mix, then add the powdered cake and mix again.
  10. Add the cream cheese and cocoa and mix well. Leave the mixture to cool for an hour at room temperature.
  11. Roll the dough into balls of the size of a walnut and leave them aside for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  12. For frosting: melt chocolate over a water bath.
  13. Stick one wooden or plastic medium-sized skewer into the end of each ball then dip it in the chocolate to cover it halfway to the top. Repeat with all the dough balls.
  14. Sprinkle colored chocolate vermicelli on half the cake pops and garnish the others with M&M’s® Chocolate candies.
